My best friend is getting married next year. she told me today she wanted someone else to be her maid of honor and she is putting me as a bridesmaid. i kind of
acted like it did not bother me when she told me but it kind of did. would you have been upset?
I feel like i shouldn't be upset about this but i am.

I wouldn't be upset.
A good friend of mine got married and I was a bridesmaid and not a maid of honor, which was fine with me. You have to do so much more stuff when you're the Maid of Honor, and I just wasn't up for that LOL. And some of the bridesmaids were bridemaidzilla-ish. So yeah... |

I'd be ready to seriously injure my BFF if she didn't make me her maid of honor when she gets married one day. I think she knows better.

Eh I'm sure it's nothing personal if you're her daughter's godmother. That means more I think. Then again I've already accepted that my
best friend isn't going to make me her MOH because she has a sister so it doesn't really seem like a big deal to me anymore

I'm sorry your hurt but I think you are focusing a little to much on how long you have known her. It's not a competition. I think it is pretty clear
that as much as she still considers you a good enough friend to be in her wedding, she is clearly closer to this other person at this point in her life and
wants her in that role.

Well either way I wouldn't say anything if I were you because it's not like she's going to change her mind or anything and she probably has her
reasons for choosing this person. As long as she hasn't done anything else that shows she doesn't respect you in the same way you thought she did then
I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I'm not going to say anything to her about it because i know she isn't going to change her mind. I may be looking more into her decision than i
should which is what my mom told me.
