But I LOVED it. I don't know why it affected me so much, I cried for the last 1/2 hour or so and a few times before that.

I hurt complete different reviews for it. That it sucked or was amazing. I want to see it, but... I hate Brad Pitt.

I know I'm making a really broad generalization, but I've found that the people who hated the movie were looking at it too realistically. The whole
film is not to be taken literally; it's a beautiful metaphor for life and death. I've always loved the short story as well.
And I despise Brad Pitt too, but I thought he actually did exceptionally well in this role. |

Fair enough. In the short story, he was actually born a full grown man, talking, complaining, and walking
And I do have to agree with you about Cate Blanchett's (sp?) character. She was highly annoying. |
