I thought about this because I am listening to Rage Against the Machine - Renegades of Funk.
I am slightly embarassed to admit that my husband caught me singing "We're the redneck kings of punk" when the song 1st came out. my sister sings it "were they redneck gays that f*ck" so don't feel bad |

The only song I can remember messing up the lyrics to is "Good Times Gonna Come" by Aqualung and that's because I still do even though I know
I'm wrong. I always think he's singing "This is just a little weariness" instead of "This is just one of those lonely nights". My
little sister, however, used to think Closer by Nine Inch Nails went "I want to fuck you like an admiral". Actual lyric is "I wanna fuck you
like an animal".

Little Tuna wrote:I seriously thought this for like 2 months after the song came out. I was singing it that way all along. I thought it was kinda weird but I figured it was the PCD and they are kinda skanky. |

Regarding The Counting Crows' version of "Big Yellow Taxi"
I made my dad a mix cd of new covers of old songs. He wasn't even familiar with the Joni Mitchell original - and he thought it was "You paid paradise, and put up a fucking lot..." (correct = put up a parking lot) Later he asked me something in his funny filipino dad accent: "WHAT kind ob song is dat?!!"

I thought the Pussycat Dolls wanted boobies, not groupies!

Years ago, I thought it was "I'll stomp the wilderness with you", instead of "I'll stop the world and melt with you". ("Melt
With You" - Modern English)
I also thought it was "eastern boys and western girls, in a western town, in a denim world", instead of "east end boys and west end girls, in a west end town, a dead end world". ("West End Girls" - Pet Shop Boys). |

No Doubt f. Lady Saw - Underneath it All
In the rap part Lady Saw says: "Underneath it all, you are my real Prince Charming" My fiance sings: "Umanamashooma I'm a real big spider." |

My dad used to think AC/DC's song that goes "Dirty deeds done dirt cheap" was actually "Dirty jeans, time to clean."
Seriously. ![]()

About 1000! The one that sticks out is when my sister and I were singing "africa" at the top of our lungs and she all of a sudden turns the music
down and is like WHAT did you just say? I thought it went - it's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you there's nothing that a hundred MEN ON MARS
could ever do!
Also on the milk commercial I finally just asked my boyfriend what the hell he was saying because I thought he was shouting "my name is Harvey Milk and I'm here to make fruit juice!" |

OMG! Mine is sooooo soo super embarrassing, but up until about my senior year in highschool (i'm 22), I thought "Man in the Mirror" by Michael
Jackson said, "and no mustache could have been any clearer." instead of message.
I found this out by asking my friend, "Does Michael Jackson even have a mustache?" She will never ever let me live that down. |

I used to think that Maroon 5's song was "in a n*ggas way" but it's "in a naked sweat". I was conflicted because I loved the song but have a problem with racism. |
