It isnt too bad, in fact not bad at all. The reason why Brad was nice to Aniston, was because he was trying to defend what Angelina said about that Jen found uncool, so he clarified that they were still filming when he and Aniston split up, and that Angelina was referring to that time of filming and not the filming when he was still married. Of course, Brad has to downplay that Aniston is an idiot and acting so envious of Angelina, so he has to put it in ways that he is not pointing to Aniston as the one who created the issue in the first place, and that she was just dragged into it by the interviewer. In fact, Aniston should be ashamed because Brad has now cleared once again that there was no affair before they split up as opposed to what she was insinuating in her recent interviews.

Over the course of the next 90 minutes, Pitt proves to be unfailingly gracious, good-humored and game for all questions, including those about his life with Angelina Jolie and their brood of six, whom he refers to as "this cuckoo's nest that we got going on over there." He even responds to the latest installment of the Brad-Jen-Angelina saga. In November Jennifer Aniston told a journalist that an earlier comment from Jolie-that she and Pitt fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and so the film "might mean something more than we'd earlier allowed ourselves to believe"-was "uncool," because Aniston and Pitt were still married during filming. "Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart," Pitt says, as if to settle this thing once and for all. "I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It's so created." Of his current relationship with Aniston, he says, "We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]. That's life, man. That's life."

A few sentences into the next topic, though, Pitt circles back to defend Jolie's honor. "What people don't understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year," he explains. "We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't. I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that's all."

Aniston will never clarify the time they split, or admit that they had been on the verge of ending it, or had problems, or that they would have divorced anyway (especially THAT ONE, that would clear up a LOT of nonsense wouldn't it? ..and it's TRUE besides) but to do that would take away her claims on bitterness - she's profiting off of this 'woman scorned/done wrong,' thing.

That said - I am absolutely amazed and baffled that I have seen publication after publication deliberately or otherwise misread what Aniston said is 'uncool.'

I'm ready to say at this point - they know what she said is IDIOTIC (that Angie saying she 'couldn't wait to get to work,' was "uncool") and they desperately wish she had said something more substantial and significant. Given that she didn't - they have simply decided to not recognize what Aniston actually said in the magazine at all, and MAKE UP what they feel she OUGHT to have said was "uncool." It's everying from 'fell in love,' to 'had an affair,' and now the "earlier than what we allowed ourselves to believe," comment.

...this is a magazine in which hundreds of thousands of issues have been PRINTED, the interview is online - you can read what she said VERBATIM.

But they still don't want to acknowledge it. The cartoon NEVER gets mentioned, nor does her behavior at what she pretends is Angelina's 'audacity.' (Aniston drops her head and shakes it, in a 'wow,' gesture - NEVERMIND she's referring to a 2 year old interview about a relationship she claims was "100 years ago.")

The insinuation, that 'that things were going on that I didn't know about,' that were designed to make both Brad and Angelina look sneaky -- never gets mentioned, and oddly enough no follow up questions were asked ('Like what, Jen?') and no questions are asked of Brad about anything else she said in that piece or the follow-up.

Here's the thing - it's been 4, going on 5 years later...Brad has 6 children with Angelina Jolie. The very fact that they have to revisit this so often, means Brad didn't handle this correctly at the outset.

Im not sure if at the onset, Brad denying the affair would really have stop the speculations and insinuations. I think what they did when they first hooked up was really NO TALK, and I think that worked well for them. As a result, there was no backlash on their careers, in fact, they became hotter than ever and more popular. In fact, Aniston didnt get the sympathy that Nicole Kidman got when Tom divorced her. She is the only HW actress dumped who most people hated instead of loved or empathised with.

I believe, Brad is now more comfortable talking about it, because its been 4 years, and everyone should have and would have on already. But the idiot ex-wife just cant get over the fact that not only that Angelina has replaced her in Brad's life and is the one living the dream that she used to have, but that she has become the hottest HW actress now despite the fact that she stole her husband from her, lol! Really, I dont think Aniston is bitter because she still loves Brad, but she is just an envious, jealous and vindictive woman.

Anyway, what ever it is, Brad must be doing the right thing, because most of the headlines in the web now, is him defending Angie more than Aniston.
