Like the country?
Check-la-sla-vok-key-a I think-- I can't say it slow enough to figure out how to put it in a way for someone else to understand. You could probably just put it in a youtube search and hear it in random videos. |

It doesn't matter. It's the Czech Republic now isn't it?

Kimkim232 wrote: It would matter if you're refering to the history of country back when it was know as Czechoslovakia. But yes, as far as I know, Czechoslovakia was split and is now 2 different countrys -but I'm not up-to-date on it so I wouldn't know the facts. And my grandpa was born in Czechoslovakia, so when people ask where my family is from, I say Czechoslovakia-not the Czech Republic. |

Lideem wrote: Ohhhh - I did know about both now! My grandma's family is Slovak. When my grandma was little - her parents only spoke Slovak in the house, but she knew almost all English. When she saw a rabbit in the yard one day she ran into the house to tell her parents there was a "rabbitski" outside because she didn't know how to say it in Slovak.

My parents were born in Czechoslovakia. But now my parents live in the Czech Republic. And my cousins call the "other side" Slob-okia.
