I wasn't too thrilled with Breaking Dawn. I finished all 4 books within a week (obviously I have too much time on my hands while I'm on vacation) and
although it had the most action, I just found it bleh. I wasn't thrilled with Jacob's section because I'm not very fond of him and I wanted there
to be more love story between Edward and Bella.
I finished Breaking Dawn this morning and then I was kind of like...hmm...what do I do now? I expected the series to last me a few weeks. |

I got all 4 books for Christmas and Breaking Dawn is the only one I wasn't able to finish in hours. With the other 3 it was hard for me to stop reading for
more than short periods of time. I went hours last night without any interest in finishing BD. I actually have 100 pages left but I really don't even care
to finish it. I don't think it's as bad as others made it out to be but I just feel so disconnected from Edward and Bella. I would have loved more of a
story between those two. Book One was great because it was basically just those two. All the Jacob and Renesmee stuff just ruined it.

That is how I felt as well. I read the other 3 in about a week and when it came to the last one, it took me about the same amount of time. I felt it was not
about Bella and Edward but about Jacob and I just did not want to read about him.

I just felt like the whole thing was some big rip off. The whole issue with her being a vampire was giving up her family, having children etc. etc... and she
gets them all anyway? The big huge blow out fight is some talking in a field? Anti climax

It was when Jacob saw Renezmee for the first time and imprinted on her.I literally gasped when i read that.. I was completely not ready for that. Bella really annoyed me in this book when she became a vamp... I'm not sure why but she just did. |

Bella annoyed me way before she became a vamp. It was just I dunno, kind of laughable. I skimmed past the Jacob bit and the whole fairytale cottage thing made
me laugh so hard.
I was more interested in Alice and Jane than the other characters tbqh. Edward is so bland. His whole schtick is existing to satisfy some sick fantasy of SM's, just to obsessively love Bella. He's not a very compelling or interesting character. I wish SM had made the two leads more... interesting & likable really. |
