Can I mix either of these wines with anything to make them better to drink? My friend said she mixes red wine with Sprite but not sure if there are some other suggestions. Don't want these bottles to go to waste!
What can I do with these bottles of Merlot and Chardonnay?

I have a couple of bottles of Chardonnay and Merlot from the holidays but I don't particularly care for these wines. I enjoy a sweeter wine like a Moscato
or White Zinfandel.

If you don't open it it'll be fine...save it and give it out as hostess gifts etc or use for when guests are over.

I do red wine with orange soda... that's ghetto sangria. DELISH!
And I cook with white wine. |

I vote for give it to people. If you have to do something, though, sangria.
Or you could try to develop a taste for them! |

Are they expensive wines? If so, I would hold on to them and re-gift them. If they are cheap wines, I would either use them for cooking (I regularly use wine
as a base for marinades for beef, pork, and chicken and to make sauces) and/or make sangria (Crate & Barrel and Williams Sonoma both have a great sangria
mix that you can add to the wine).

My husband's sangria recipe is a bottle of red wine, a can of ginger ale, a few spoonfuls of brown sugar to taste. Easy cheesy!

I forgot about sangria! I think you can do a red or white sangria. That would be cool for the next time I host a party.
I have a bottle of white wine that's been open in my fridge for a bit. How long can you normally keep wine open in the fridge before it goes bad? |

White wine lasts longer than red, but probably not more than a week. Taste it.

Save them for cooking. A little wine is always a good pan deglazer.
