First with the "Pruuuuuu!" chants after he scored, then with the "PETR PRUCHA!" chants and then they topped it off with "PRUCHA! PRUCHA!" I swear, Renney must be the only one who doesn't love Petr. Chad made my day yesterday and now Petr made my night.

Much of that game was so half-assed tonight though, huge 5-on-3 kill did it for us, and Lappy working his tail off. lol, McCabe. Good times. Sixty effing minutes please. Prucha makes most of rare appearance Tuesday, 12.30.2008 / 9:00 AM / Game-Day Skate By Brian Compton - NHL.com Staff Writer A few thoughts while we wait for the Winter Classic preview in Detroit on Tuesday night: Will score for food -- It's no secret the New York Rangers have experienced trouble scoring goals recently. For whatever reason, though, Petr Prucha has watched his team struggle from the press box. That changed Monday night, when Prucha was in the lineup against the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden. He once again made a case for consistent playing time, as he erased a 2-1 deficit just 49 seconds into the third period en route to a 5-4 victory. ''It's tough being out of the lineup for so long, and it was frustrating," Prucha said. "I got the chance to play again and scored, so hopefully I will be in the lineup for the next game.'' The next game is Saturday, when the Blueshirts begin 2009 against the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center. That gives Rangers coach Tom Renney a few days to decide whether or not Prucha -- who scored 30 goals in 2005-06 but has 31 since then -- is worthy of back-to-back appearances. ''If he would get three or four goals a night he'll be fine,'' Renney joked. ''Pete's a battler. That's exactly what you have to do when you get those opportunities.'' Prucha has done that. After being benched for 10 consecutive games, the 26-year-old scored in a 3-2 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Dec. 3. He played in the next two contests but didn't see the ice again until Monday. ''I have played with a lot of guys, and that guy is one of the best teammates I've ever had,'' said Rangers center Scott Gomez, who had a goal and assist. ''For whatever reason he hasn't been in the lineup, but he never says a word. He is one of the guys that always has a smile on his face and works the hardest in practice. I believe, in demented Renney world, that's what he expects from Petr. How else can you explain the rest of the team getting a free pass as they continue to suffer scoring slumps? And if he's a "battler" why in the world does he find himself in the press box more so than on the ice?

After that kid scored the goals he did in his rookie year he got the shaft the next season when he started to struggle. It really pissed me off. Instead of trying to let him ride out the trouble scoring goals he threw him on the 4th line and then the press box. It really bothers me.

Everytime I saw Cam my heart shattered again. I miss that dude so much. I'll give St. Louis their stupid defenseman back, plus Mottau and Rupp! On that note... Salvadore + Mottau is the worst D pairing ever. Other random notes from the game.. watching Patty, Gio and Zubie play around with that stupid two minute empty net. Trying to set up plays and shit rather than just shooting the puck and sealing the deal. I'd bet anything that if St. Louis had gotten that second goal to tie the game after pulling their goalie my team would be short a Czech, an American and a Lithuanian.

I have no sympathy for their current woes, especially when we usually end up inexplicably sucking against them anyways, blowing away much needed points and having to watch their over the top celebrations every game. Latendresse needs to knock that hot dogging ish off, too. He's done it the last few times he's scored... Once in a while, fine, but when it reaches the levels of the Briere's and Blake's or ridiculous gaping mouthed Eric Staal, really start losing me.
