Now that the baby's home, and "sleeping very well," says her father, Jim Bob Duggar, the family of 20 (minus eldest and married son Josh) flashed their collective smiles for the camera on Monday's Today show.
"She's a very calm baby," her father told TV viewers, while mother Michelle Duggar interjected, "It's Mommy's the one who's awake."
Still, said Michelle, "She is doing wonderful, [and] I feel good. … We're enjoying our sweet little girl."
The Name Game
The name for this latest addition to the family was chosen only "the other day," said Jim Bob, with the family putting the decision to a vote. The only requirement, of course, was that - as with the rest of the children - the first name began with the letter J."I wanted Julie Grace," said Jim Bob, though others favored the name Jordan Makiya. So, a compromise was reached, Jordyn-Grace Makiya.
And while the folks are already contemplating baby No. 19, Today's Ann Curry inquired if there is such a thing as too many children.
"I would say," replied Michelle, "saying there's too many children is like saying there are too many flowers."
Monday night, the Duggars will officially update the name of their TLC network series, 17 Kids & Counting, to 18 Kids & Counting.
