Not worrying about being completely destitute if something bad happens.

I'm saving for life. Not items or vacations. I guess you'd say similar to ImCuterThanYou's reply. I save nearly everything that isn't a direct
need, so that when I'm older I'll be set.
In my very first finance course as a wee lad, I had a professor that showed us a math problem. He said here is option 1 (buy a $5000 rolex) & Here is option 2 (save $5000). He went through 40 years of standard interest and showed us how much you'd make if you forgo just one decision on a $5000 rolex. I haven't been the same person since! It could be said for any big ticket item, but that little math problem changed how I view everything. |

New car - specifically an SUV because I can't handle driving my car in all this snow.

I'm just trying to save money in general for whenever my boyfriend and I decide to get married. It's really insane how much money I used to spend on
clothes I didn't need. I really only buy stuff I need now, like body wash, face wash, school supplies, stuff like that.
Though I do want to buy myself a digital camera. I plan on using Christmas money for that. |

Laser hair removal. I absolutely hate body hair. I'm not one of those girls that is okay with arm hair, hair follicles showing in between getting waxed or
w/e, or hair in other places. I am not like ew @ hair on anyone else's body. Personally, I am just not having it.
