Yeah there's nothing wrong with that if he can afford it. Engagement rings are usually a percentage of a guys salary or something.
The ring isnt really my style though. |

My e-ring was $10,000. I liked it at first, but realized it was very impractical (too big/flashy/drew attention, got dirty easily, didn't fit under gloves,
looked stupid at work, etc.) And, $10,000 is a lot of money unless you are absolutely, 100% financially sound enough to spend that much on a ring. Don't
spend that much on a ring, only to complain about how you don't have any money, 5 months later...
If I were to do it again, I'd get really skinny band with teeny pave-set diamonds all around it, for my e-ring |

my husband spent 6k 8 years ago and mine is only 3/4 a carat but its good quality. If you want a good decent size stone, its honestly not that much. Seeing
how people pay 10k just for the reception venue for one night, I'd rather scale back on that and put the money towards the ring you will be wearing
everyday!

i think $10K is reasonable. shoot, my eye keeps wandering towards the $30K ones
if he can afford it, why the hell not. |

I would freak out if my boyfriend bought me a ring like that. It's gorgeous!
I've picked out my engagement ring and wedding band - as a set, they're around $6000. I didn't think that was bad. |

I don't like rings or diamonds or jewelry in general enough to merit spending that much on an engagement ring for me. It would be wasted on me.
Also, if my fiance had $10,000 to shell out for a piece of jewelry, I would hope he'd find something more worthwhile to do with that money. But I don't judge how other folks spend their money. |
