I hate the idea of a changing a pet's name when you adopt them. I've only changed a pet's name once, but she was only 8 weeks old when we adopted
her and the shelter had named her "butter ball". I think if a pet is older the name should stay the same.
However, I kind of want to change the name of the dog my parent's are adopting tomorrow, but he's already 2 years old. He's a pomeranian that is extremely timid, hardly ever barks, hides when new people come around... and his name is Rex. Rex just doesn't seem to suit him. We'll probably keep the name, but it just doesn't seem right for him.
