Ragu meat flavored and Ragu mushroom. Mix and heat, add cooked ground beef (with pressed garlic clove and a small onion), garlic salt to taste. Simmer and
done.

I have a great homemade spaghetti sauce recipe. It makes a ton (good for left overs) and it's yummy. If I can make it, it's easy
Want it? |

The sauce I use for my lasagna starts out with a jar of traditional prego.....not another brand. I then add basil, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. I prefer
using fresh basil and parsley but if you're in a pinch just use the dried. For dried it's about 2tbsp parsley and one tsp basil, oregano and salt and
then a pinch of pepper. I then add it to a mixture of fried ground beef, onions and garlic (drained of course). Simmer for about 15 minutes and then make the
lasagna.

Heather, yes!
How do you store the leftovers? Hmm the lasagna sauce sounds good. I don't know which to make. |

This recipe freezes really well (maybe all spaghetti sauce does, I don't know
Fry together: 3 tbps vegetable oil 2 tbsp butter 2 onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced Cook until onions are brown. In a separate frying pan, fry 1.5-2lbs hamburg (I don't like that much hamburg so I only do 1/2 lb) Add onions and hamburg together in a large saucepan. Add: 2 cans Italian style stewed tomatoes (19oz each) 2 cans tomato paste (6.5 oz each) 2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp cayenne 1/3 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp sweet basil Simmer for atleast 1 hour. You should definitely make it. It's soooo yummy and easy to make. Lots of ingredients but it's easy. |

Muir Glen tomato sauce (2-3 cans for lasagna)
Wine (your choice) a shake or two of nutmeg about the same of cayenne pepper (this comes out faster than nutmeg so watch out) salt/pepper to taste I heat the sauce (however many cans I need), add the nutmeg & hot pepper, let it simmer then add some wine. I allow that to simmer a while longer, say 15-20 min, so the wine has cooked with the sauce enough. I then add salt or pepper if I think it needs it, which I rarely do. The canned tomato sauces tend to be salty enough and then combine that with the wine & spices; it's very flavourful. |

IdDoJC100Ways wrote:That's what I do for my manicotti, except I brown italian sausage, drain but leave the good bits at the bottom, add a little oil and garlic and onions and brown then add italian sausage, prego and a pinch here and there of oregano and crushed fennel seeds. Then salt and pepper to taste. |

Yeah, that doesn't sound too good. Interesting twist though!

Try Ragu and Prego side by side. You'll pick Prego. Really.

I'm hooked on using kraft's pizza sauce with roasted peppers & 280731203298 spices.

I don't like Prego...something about it just tastes nasty to me.

1) Buy can of Prego
2) Open can of Prego 3) Pour and enjoy. |
