I don't see him being like that, but you never know.
Also, if he isn't doing it, maybe it's because he is signed on to do something else at the same time? |

He basically plays a version of George Michael in every movie he's been in since AD so he might as well just sign of to it.

It won't be the same without him. Did everyone else sign on? |

I don't think he's even remotely big enough to pick and choose what projects he will or won't do.

That's depressing! But shit, I'm just happy they are doing one.

I hate the George Michael character anyway, so I wouldn't really mind if he's not in the movie. As long as GOB and Buster are there, I'm happy

He needs to sign on because I want to see the character of Ann in the movie.
I think everyone is negotiating their contracts, and that it's assumed everyone but Michael will be a part of the film. |

Speaking to the National Post, Michael Cera expressed not only his disbelief in the possibility of his movie, but his complete disinterest as well. He tells
them that he's heard nothing about plans for a film (apparently he has never seen an interview with Jason Bateman) and adds, "I don't think I
would want to see a movie of the series if I was a fan, anyway." He suggests you Arrested Development fans give it up and get your fill another way. Says
Cera, "I don't really see a need for it if you can get the three seasons on DVD."

This was one of the comments from the Cinema Blend link above:
This is an old interview, from the typically unreliable National Post. He spoke to them two weeks ago. Four days ago he said: The actor would gladly reprise his role as George-Michael Bluth if "Arrested Development" creator Mitchell Hurwitz "decided it was something he wants to do." Says Cera: "If he was going to proceed with it, he would want to make sure it was going to be done right." http://www.mercurynews.com/entertainment/ci_10547313 |
