Ahh, wisdom teeth extraction. How you numb my entire face!!!!

I'm going through that right now. I got mine out this morning. I was supposed to have all 4 taken out but after 30 minutes of drilling the top one they
said it was too high up and didn't bother with the top teeth. I hate this numb feeling however I'm sure I will miss it in a few hours when I can feel
all of the pain.

I was scared of the procedure but it didn't hurt at all during. They said I did better than most people. It helps though when your childhood dentist had a
Nintendo, a ball room to play in and let you pick out of the treasure chest at the end. I have no problems with the dentist at all. My mom and my brother on
the otherhand are terrified of them and the smell of the office makes them sick.

Getting my wisdom teeth out was the worst thing I've ever had done to me.
It wasn't the pain, but just all the problems that went along with it. I
had that nasty taste in my mouth all the time from my gums trying to heal, then I had to rinse after every meal (which made me not want to eat), and then from
chomping down on the cotton ball my jaw wouldn't open completely for two weeks.
I would never want to experience that again.  Thankfully I had all four wisdom teeth pulled and so I won't have to do it again.

i'm normally not afraid of the dentist but if they'd remove all 4 at once i'd be scared.

I think it's probably easier getting them all done at once, that way you only have the experience once. The freezing is starting to wear off. I don't
feel it in my ear anymore, and my tongue is getting feeling back so I can properly swallow. I think the worst part for me though will be the feeling in my jaw
from keeping it open for so long. I have TMJ so it's hard for me to even yawn. It sucks though that I'm going to have pain on the one side from the
drilling and the tooth didn't even get taken out.

I hope I never have to get mine removed...I've had such bad experiences at the dentist, I'm terrified of having to get my wisdom teeth removed.

It honestly wasn't so bad Alex. The worst part is the sound of the drilling. My dentist let me listen to my ipod so it drowned it out a bit.

WHOA I forgot about this post. My bad.
I got all four of mine removed on Friday morning. I was awake for the procedure but vvvv numb and sedated. I can only remember bits and pieces but still. The thing that sucked the most was the ICE. Having to put ice on my face hurt soo much. And it made me shiver even though I had like, ten blankets on top of me. The good thing is I've slept a LOT. I still look like a major chipmunk but my mouth doesn't hurt much. My jaw is what's the most sore, which sucks. I want to try to stretch my mouth but I don't have dissoluble stitches so I don't want to pull them out. I can feel one of them on the back of my mouth; it makes my throat itch so much. They aren't coming out for two weeks so that majorly sucks. I just keep reminding myself that I will look normal again someday soon!!!! And that I can eat the biggest extra cheese pizza ever. Oh God I cannot wait. I'm so hungry. |
