i'm so sorry.
 my high school boyfriend's dad died while we were together. it was one of the worst things i ever had to go through. all you can do is
be there for him.

his dad passed away this thursday and it sucks that i cant go to the funeral

My former husband's father died just over a year after we were married. I'll certainly say a prayer for your s/o and his family. It's a tough time
and he'll need as much quiet support as he can get. People handle grief in many ways, so just try to wait for him to tell you what he needs and be there as
best you can, even if not at the funeral.
