Anyone ever heard of Salvia Divinorum? It is a legal, powerful and quick acting natural hallucinogen that can be easily obtained. It is supposed to be as
potent as LSD, only quicker to take effect. I was reading about it earlier and found this video. They had one earlier with a guy freaking out and running
through a plate glass window.

They sell it at Venice beach. Really easy to get. And makes you trip real hard.

If you want to read about it, go to www.sagewisdom.org. I only know that because I wanted to read all about it one time.

I wanted to read about it after hearing a story on the news. A guy tripping on Salvia grabbed a knife and started stabbing himself.

He started stabbing himself? Weird.
I just know that I had absolutely no concept of reality whatsoever. It was insane. |

A few of my friends did it. They sell it at a local head shop. The reason people get in trouble with it is because they ignore the warnings on the package.
This particular brand came in different color "levels", with green being the lowest strength and purple being the highest (I think there were 3 more
levels in between). The package said to start with green and slowly work your way up. Well, my friends insisted on using the purple the first time, and one of
them had a bad trip as a result. They absolutely hallucinated. However, the whole trip only lasts maybe 5 minutes, then they came down. After watching them, I
decided I didn't need to know what that was like.

You can only buy the leaves at head shops. You have to buy the extract on the internet. Or at least that's how it is here...but then again, I'm in
Utah.

It won't be legal for much longer, though, because people are using it in more ridiculous, recreational ways vs the crowd it appealed to more once--not teenagers, etc.. I think there are already a few states that have made
it illegal.
That being said, TBH, I think some of the Youtubes are total bullshit and people play it up.

Exactly! My friends could not sit up when they were on it, much less run through a glass window or stab themselves.

Perhaps it has different effects on different people.

It's a fun ride for 10 - 15 minutes then it's a nifty little high for a while. You do need to make sure someone SOBER is in the room, however, because
people do have a tendency to wander off while on it. It's not that expensive either.

Why would anyone purposely want to hallucinate?

Because it's kind of a fun experience? Or at least it can be.

kimjoy85 wrote: Really? I don't know many people that haven't hallucinated at some point. Edit: Sorry, that sounded a bit rude. And granted, there are a lot of different kinds of "tripping." I do think the ones, like that top level of salvia, where you literally lose all touch with reality are scary. But drugs like shrooms, that just heighten and add to what really exists, don't seem strange to me.
