It was nice seeing Emmanuelle there, she looked gorgeous! Why do I have a memory of JC dating her? Did he?

There's a cute little Access Hollywood interview with them after the show, here.
They love their stuffed Pluto and Tigger. |

Sure, he kept a big smile on his face and got a near-perfect score. But when Lance Bass accidentally kicked off his left shoe doing a high-stepping jitterbug on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars, he panicked. "The only thing I could think of was to fast-forward in my head to all the moves I had to do - and that I had to land on my left foot," says Bass. "I was thinking, 'Do I have to change something so I don't slip and make Lacey [Schwimmer, his pro partner] fall?' Because we had a lot of lifts and this is, like, the worst dance to do with a shoe off." It wasn't like he stepped on the heel and sent the white tennis shoe flying. "No, I just kicked it right off," he says. "In the adrenaline of a live show, you just kick a lot harder." Shoe and foot problems have plagued Bass the entire season. He broke his right toe in the weeks leading up to the premiere, making any shoe uncomfortable. Then he hurt the toe next to it practicing the jive. Adding insult to injury, he got slammed by head judge Len Goodman for going shoeless in the rumba. "With two shoes on, Len was not so happy," says Bass. "With both shoes off, he wasn't happy either. So I think we found our little niche: With one shoe off and one shoe on, he's happy." Schwimmer wasn't too worried about her one-shoe wonder. "I was just laughing because I thought it was so funny," she says. "But you know what? I knew he would concentrate harder on the dance. And, sure enough, he danced it better than we've ever performed it." Bass says his 82-year-old grandfather sitting in the audience, James Bass, Sr., was his good luck charm on Monday night. But the Bass/Schwimmer team has two other creatures - inanimate - watching over them: Tigger and Pluto. Stuffed, fuzzy, and imported from their recent visit to Walt Disney World, the two mascots have been sitting on the side of the stage every performance night (just out of sight of the cameras), to watch over the struggling team. They've been planted there since Week 6, the week they did the jive. "Ever since we got our animals," says Schwimmer, "it's just been a lot easier." Says Bass: "They hold us up. We put them on stage to watch us so we don't mess up." I'm still so impressed with him. He may have been panicking, but I never saw it in his face. And not only did he not even react to the Flying Shoe, but he was able to maintain his balance and not slip all over the place with one shoe on, one shoe off. That's professionalism! |

I didn't even know his shoe came off.

I noticed when it happened because the flying whiteness caught my attention, and it kind of worried me because I was like "...only Lance."
But when I realized that homeboy wasn't skipping a beat, I was all sorts of happy. I still was worried that he might slip though, because socks don't really agree with an oily dance floor. |

I know, he really could have slipped and fallen so many times. Last night he was perfect. I couldn't have ever expected that.

He was having a ball, both dances. He seems to be having a good time.

DWTS has made me want to punch people who say Lance can't dance. Especially when these people have not seen Lance cha cha cha, tango, jive, mambo, or
jitterbug his way across the dance floor.
He and Lacey really do seem to just be having a good time. I know that people have a scary hatred for Lacey, and I understood it at times, but how can anyone dislike Lance? The one who thanked his "Granddaddy" 15 million times last night. |

I've decided I'm not reading anymore forums or websites about it. It just ticks me off. I'm gonna watch, vote and see what happens.
I think it's pretty clear he's going to the finals and I don't think Warren can outdance him, though I am looking forward to seeing Warren do a freestyle. |

All indications point to Lance having raked in the votes last night. I was worried about him going into Monday, but after last night? I'm pretty confident.
I LOVE reading the other message boards about DWTS. I don't comment in them, but it's funny to read the perspectives of others. Especially when they're so wacky. |

Ugh I let them get to me, too much. I have to stay away.

I understand that. It's a little "WTF" sometimes, but I can't not look.

Lance was so amazing last night! I'm so proud of him! It has been so much fun seeing his progression this season. I love him even more than I did...and
that was a lot to begin with! I also really love that Cody kid. He's so adorable and so sweet! I will be sad if he's voted off tonight. I tried voting
for him last night but it wouldn't let me because I had used up all my votes for Lance I guess.
