It depends a lot on what part of Greece you go to and what time you go. A friend and I went to Greece (Crete, specifically) in May, and it wasn't too
ridiculously expensive... although we knew from the get-go that it would be costly, given that it was a full week overseas. The flight cost was the worst --
everything else for the trip (villa, food, transportation, entrance fees) equaled the same price as *just* the flight.

Athens is one of my dream destinations.
But only in the winter. I've heard that Greece is hell on earth in the summer. |

Greece is like 10000 degrees in the summer but theres nothing to do there in the winter.
