Cell phones. I had to listen to a guy yammer on a cell phone for the entire thirty minutes he was spinning.

I feel like I have to acknowledge these guys at the gym now because they said I was mean when I wouldn't say hi to them, I had my earphones in and
couldn't hear them! I don't come to the gym to talk to people.

People trying to correct your technique when they are wrong
Some dude was trying to tell me your arms are suppose to be fully extended when doing flyes I was like and then I put him on to how to properly do it

I love my gym. I just get intimidated sometimes by more experienced people, but I'm always with my trainer unless I'm running so it's not really a
big deal. Just costs a small fortune.

A few times, this girl would come in with short ass shorts all the way up to her damn vagina, weave down her back and jewelry galore. She would get on the treadmill for 10 minutes and then the weights for 5 and then leave. I never understood that shit but she stopped going after awhile because I never saw her after that. |

My gym rocks but the only minor thing that bugs me sometimes is when woman come into the steam shower and try to start a conversation. It's only happened
twice but both times were super awkward and annoying.

when people don't re-rack their weights....
and to the people that hate grunters or loud heavy breathers, you clearly don't lift very heavy weights or don't do it properly/ aren't pushing yourself. If a guy is benching 175lbs+ he is going to damn well grunt to get that weight up. Try pushing yourself to the maximum weight you can lift and do it for a full amount of repetitions and sets and not breath out loud or make a sound. |

Basically those grunts are attempts to get short bursts of oxygen |

those short bursts of oxygen sometimes gives you that last push you need to finish the weights that you are doing.
I don't know about anyone else, but when i go to the gym i go to work my ass off, i don't care what i look like, how sweaty my shirt is, i work out until i feel like i've done it properly. I'm not afraid to go into the weight section and bench heavy weights. If i have to ask a guy to spot me i do it. If you are lifting weights properly you should be inhaling and exhaling with each contracting and extension. If you are lifting them and they are close to your max you WILL be straining and grunting and groaning. |

have you ever squatted 3000000 pounds? i WOULD be screaming more that a yyyyyuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
some of those meat heads do the whole one rep, max weight because they want to go for bulk. muscle building vs. tone is all about how your routine is shaped and a reflection of repitions and sets. |

At the gym at my school, you can sign out machines in 1/2 hour increments (starting on the hour or the half... no in between). So when it's 3:30 and
you're waiting for someone to get off the machine ... what are you supposed to do besides not stand around so they know you're waiting?
