i know it's a sentimental thing but so long as your love is strong, the ring is just symbolic. plus, it's not like he took it off to pick up chicks at a bar and then misplaced it...

my dad had his wedding ring stolen during a break in when my parents first got married. he has never worn a wedding ring since then, and 28 years later they
are doing just fine

I lost mine when it fell on the floor somehow and got swept up in the vacuum cleaner. My husband bent his ring somehow at work, it's barely bent and I
didn't feel a difference but it doesn't matter cause he can't wear it at work anyways.

Yeah actually my Dad hasn't worn his wedding ring in over 10 years. He is an auto mechanic and is always out in the garage even when hes not at work and he
would have to keep taking off the ring. Thats why he stopped wearing it.

We communicate way too well for him to have just gone out and gotten another one. He would have let it slip eventually.

Poor guy. He should get one that fits better.

I've been married for 8 years and lost 2 sets of wedding band/engagement rings. It really does suck ass. When I think about it, I seriously enter panic
attack mode. At this point if I ever get another, its just going to be a relatively cheap band.
Hope he does find it though! |

I'm SO bad at losing stuff. I lost a bracelet (the first piece of jewelry my bf ever gave me) and he was so upset. I felt TERRIBLE. I eventually found it
in a pair of shorts in my hamper.

I think we've given up for tonight. Tomorrow we'll have to call the park he was at and just see if someone happened to find it and turn it in. If not,
we'll search the course again when it's light outside (since we were out there with flashlights tonight) and if we can't find it, we'll just
have to get another one. Woo, I guess?

If I get married, that's exactly what I'm worried about--I lose everything!
That and my job requires constant hand washing--but I think I'd just wear it on a chain when I was at work.
Maybe it will turn up! Or else you'll get a new one, it'll still have the same meaning. |

I don't get how you can lose a ring without taking it off. I've never had a ring come close to slipping off.
Also, what's frisbee golf? |

My husband lost his anniversary/wedding band. It was cold, his finger shrank & off it went somewhere.

Frisbee golf is like normal golf mixed with frisbee, but with smaller frisbees and the "holes" are these metal, chain-link... basket type things.
And well... he's left handed, and he apparently threw the frisbee, and his ring went with it, he just didn't notice. His ring is probably a half size too big, but we've only been married 2.5 months and hadn't had it resized yet. It fit when we got married, but he's lost some weight. |

I'm never taking my wedding and engagement rings off when I get married, for this exact reason!

You shouldn't say that, because if he had taken his off, we might not be in this predicament.

My bf's sister's husband lost his on their honeymoon. It's in the water in Maui somewhere.

Ooh, Nico, when we were on our honeymoon, this guy lost his while playing volleyball in the pool. There were like 30 of us all combing the pool looking for it
for like 45 minutes. We even formed a long line and shuffled our feet (ever seen a search party looking for a body in a field? Yeah.)
Never did find it. I felt so bad for them. |
