I just want the season to start so I can begin to grow a bond with this new team. Right now, it's not there.

A very interesting admission from Tom Renney that Jaromir Jagr has called a number of times to ask how the team is doing, particularly Brandon Dubinsky. "We'll both be climbing over each other for credit if this kid ends up as a Hall of Famer," Renney said. "I guess Jags should get it." Also, I think this whole Shanny business is odd. According to Larry Brooks, he's been skating and working out at the Rangers' practice facility

The game doesn't matter, but Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner and right wing Dainius Zubrus just fought. I couldn't tell what started it and it didn't last long, but Zubrus ended up on top of Langenbrunner when it was over. It happened 6:42 into the second 30-minute half of the scrimmage. Both teams banged their sticks on the boards afterward for encouragement. "It's not big deal," Langenbrunner said. "Everything is fine." What started it? "I don't know," Zubrus," said. "He just came across. He ran into me. I gave him a shot. He gave me one back. That's it." "I'm turning over a new leaf," Langenbrunner joked. "You're going to see me fight a lot more this year. I wanted the Gordie Howe (hat trick), so I had to start something. I couldn't score at first" Langenbrunner may have scored a power-play goal later. He wasn't sure if David Clarkson got it instead. Off the top of my head, I don't remember either player fighting last season, but I could be wrong. Asked if he only fights his teammates, Langenbrunner responded, "I try to. That way I don't get beat up that bad." Asked if he was picking on the captain, Zubrus said, 'I wasn't picking on anybody."

I don't even want to see Gomez with a Rangers jersey on Seriously, that's bad enough. My eyes will bleed if he ever wears the C in a Blueshirt. Only if the "A" is for "ASSHOLE"! Makes you wonder if the Shanahan sitch has something to do with Blomez,being it's "his team now"......hell I'm even wondering if Sather has a secret mancrush on the ass from waaay back which would explain the 7 mil,sealing Jagr's & possibly Shanahan's fate.

Price made one helluva play, even though the puck was going wide. Seeing it live I jumped outta my seat. Amazing acrobatics.
