Is there any doubt that Michael Phelps is the biggest star in the U.S. right now? The eight-time Olympic gold medalist, who's been taking NYC by storm, occupied center stage at Diddy's VMA afterparty at the House of Hype in L.A. The 23-year-old swimmer arrived after midnight with an entourage of men, usually a no-no at any party, but an eyewitness says "it was like the new president of the United States entered the room!" Missy Elliott and Ryan Phillippe not only wanted to talk to the champ, but asked if he'd pose for pictures with them. And they weren't the only ones who wanted a Kodak moment: comedian Tom Green, singer Robin Thicke and The Hills' Audrina Patridge lined up for snapshots too. When he wasn't accosted by celeb fans, Michael chowed down-big-time. Diddy fed the 12,000-calories-a-day eater a midnight snack of grits, two waffles, fruit, two biscuits with butter, four sausages, an iced mocha coffee and Red Bull with Ciroc vodka to wash it all down. Maybe he needed all that fuel to keep up with the two blondes who hung on him for the rest of the night. -KW
