The 5-0 is coming to my house now. We're going to have a smoke and die together.

i thought about Angels & Demons too
I'm not too concerned that it will create a black hole, i'm more concerned that it might blow the fuck up and wipe switzerland off the map

So...we made it? LOL.
I didn't know anything about this whole black hole, collider thing until yesterday - and I watch the news AND read the newspaper (well online of course). Apparently the Charlotte area didn't much care to report anything about it. Ah well. |

They've been talking about and building it for like 10 years. Mainstream media is shit at informing people beyond the topical. Especially they way they
discussed this at the last minute with, "but are we/are we not going to all die?"

Not gonna lie, it would have been kinda cool to be sucked into a black hole, but then again, I may have been watching a little too much Doctor Who lately.

I thought it was just the small parts today, but that the real risk is in October?

^ Yeah, they have to first find out if the beams can go as fast as they're wanting them to go to smash them together. So absolutely no black holes are at
risk of being created right now. They're just turning the machine on. It's when they smash the beams together that the black hole could be created.
Right now they're just running beams from each side one at a time. |

How do you stay informed about the world if you don't watch the news or read a newspaper? I'm just curious...
