I agree Central Jersey is awesome

I think like more than 3/4s of NJ is farmland/forest/pines/lakes, etc..
People just don't want to understand that!

There are parts of New Jersey that are great. NJ has had suburbs recently that were named the best places to raise your kids.

I absolutely love living in New Jersey. There are some really gorgeous towns around here. Red Bank- absolutely beautiful- Holmdel, Colts Neck like a previous
poster said- take a ride out there, you'll be bedzazzled.
Even some of the beaches are gorgeous- Spring Lake, Belmar.. Even this morning, I was admiring the drive to the doctor's office, which consists from driving from complete suburbia through winding country roads and farmland to giant houses, spread across large land. You can't judge Jersey and call it trashy if you haven't been to central or southern Jersey. There is so much animal life and plant life around, and the roads here are so clean. North is a whole different world. |

I'm originally from Chicago but i've been living in NJ for the past 9yrs. There are plenty of gisgusting places here but i've been to every state
in the US except Alaska and have seen equally "disgusting" if not more repulsive areas in quite a few other states. In NJ's defense, I think we
have quite a diverse group of people living in close vacinity. I work in the 2nd Wealthiest Town in NJ and people like Bruce Springsteen, Mike Tyson, Whitney
Houston, Marc Ecko, etc live here. There are FAR worse states...
Jersey City. Morristown. New Brunswick. Saddle River. Belmar. Trenton. Princeton. (such a diverse group of towns/cities all within an hour or so of one another) It's a bit ignorant to judge the whole state based on 1 city. |
