I'm a little afraid to go to any of those communities like ever again. The B/E fans are going to be all pissed. The Edward fans were mad about how SM
portrayed him. The J/B fans were already crying at the wedding. The Jacob solo fans were mad about the Lock Ness Monster.
Well, I guess I hope Midnight Sun comes out soon because thats my only reason to follow SM anymore. |

Hi to all! New to this board and I don't really know if I dare to post or not LOL... SO frig it I am going to take a chance LOL! I have always been one for
punishment.
Breaking Dawn is offically out and how sad is it that I really don't care at this point. It isn't that I don't mind Jacobs pov but to me it seems really thrown together very fast. The pregnancy and the imprinting just seem off to me. I just can't pciture Edward being so heartless. |

Well, welcome.
There's a lot to be upset about with this book, for sure. I mean I like small pieces, but overall, the first 303 pages were terrible. Of course I want to read the rest just to read the rest...but I'm definitely in the disappointed category. I don't know about Midnight Sun. Not if I hear she went right back to writing it in in a couple of months or so. |

..i'm still confused by this whole imprinting thing...and that picture (which is awesome) didn't help much..
How does one "imprint" and why is it called "imprinting"? I have the first three downloaded but I haven't had time to listen to them yet...i'm so behind everyone lol If possible, can someone just pm me the answer? i don't wanna have to sift through 14 pages again..thanks

I think I read somewhere that she wants to do something like 5 books next year? From what I read of Midnight Sun I totally fell in love with it. I just hope
she doesn't decide to finish that one off while she is on her "many books to write kick."

Quick question since a lot of people here have finished it already:
I'm halfway through so far (further than the leaks because I may or may not have had access to the books earlier today), just having finished Jacob's book and started Bella's again. So far I've found it pretty much boring and reminding me of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... with the neverending camping trip. My question is, out of curiosity, does it pick up at all in the second half? The whole ending to Jacob's book makes it seem like it's going to, but I can't be sure.... |

-Edward wanted Bella to have an abortion. -I really, really, really hope she doesn't write 5 books next year. The way I feel write now, I don't really want her to write ever again. -I'm terrible at explaining the imprinting, mostly because I skip most things Jacob. |

Midnight Sun has the potential to be awesome.. well, awesome for SM. However, if she writes 5 books a year then she really is a glorified fanfiction writer.
Obviously, the plot holes galore in Breaking Dawn show that.. If she does Midnight Sun like Twilight that should be sweet. The ONLY thing I'm worried about
is that she will use it as a place to foreshadow the crap from Breaking Dawn so that it seems like it fits better. I really, really hope its not like that..
And I have no idea bout the rest of BD. I'm not sure if I'll finish it.. but if so it probably won't be for a while. I haven't bought it pretty much because of what I've read thus far. |

The five books thingy came from an interview she did with USA today.
This is part of what she said "Meyer says she owes a lot to her fans, but when the hoopla surrounding Breaking Dawn and Twilight the movie settles down, she's looking forward to doing what she loves best - writing more books. In the works: Midnight Sun, a retelling of Twilight from Edward's perspective. She's thinking about two sequels to The Host and is working on a ghost story. "I'm just going to try and stay home and write five books next year," Meyer says. "It may not happen, but that's my goal. And I'm not going to let anyone see them. It's just going to be about sitting home and writing." PLEASE, please please, SM, don't write Midnight Sun while you are brainstorming! |

For real. Jesus, five books? She doesn't have five good books in her over like 10 years. Lets focus on putting out a better product.. not just a bunch of
products. Quality over quantity must not be a phrase she is familiar with..
Jacob seems OK in BD because Bella's POV is so grating. SM wrote her..and Edward really badly in this one. Whatever, I'll feel the love when Midnight Sun is out if its decent. Plus, she had to set Jacob up looking like roses so her next series the true love story of Jacob Black and the Loch Ness Monster can be published. |
