I'm applying for a position there and was hoping you could share your interview experience with me.
Oh! And what's the employee discount?
Anyone here work for, or have worked for IKEA?

I don't know about the interview experience but when my friend worked there in 2005 he was getting a 15% discount.

Awwe, not as stellar as I would have expected.
I'm not getting my hopes up; my biggest challenge is having only 1 year of experience in event marketing, and this position calls for 3-5. And I know my competition will be fierce. But still -- I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to work for IKEA! |

I work in retail; my job is to come up with events within the store (and some outbound marketing excursions) to drive sales. For example, fashion shows, hype
up product launches, or something as simple as product demonstrations.
I am usually the one to come up with the ideas, I support the events on my own in terms of advertising, signage, research, hiring people; I am there on the day of the event to execute and ensure it runs smoothly. |
