Wasn't the Tony Bennett special nominated for it last year? I would have preferred either of those that you mentioned because these nominations don't actually deal with the creative side of the work but it's still good that he's in the mix .

Good luck to them though! They sure did use a lot of cameras. I can't recall the number, but it was more than any other HBO Show. It was a huge production, with a lot of things going on, making it hard to get the right angles. I think they did a couple of nights of taping, to capture it the best way they could. Filming an event were there is continuous movement, and lots of stage space, you almost have to accept that portions come off looking awkward. The footage of him prior to the show starting is adorable, as they play their clapping game, and the intermission, plus the whisky at the end! "Down Home In Memphis" ,on the other hand, definitely could've been better, being in a smaller venue. It didn't have half the elements of his last taped show for HBO. That is bad filming, and feels armature. I do love how it says his record company.
