Angelina and Brad are going to give the exclusive pictures to us.
Seriously, I want them to give the first picture of the twins to People. At least the money will go to charity. Although I'm not saying that they awe something to the media. Or maybe they'll decide not to give the pictures to any tabloids, and do the same thing Halle Berry did. |

Halle got away with not releasing any pics to the public because the media are not as hardcore about her and they barely know who Gabriel is.
The thing with Jolie-Pitt twins is... they have Jolie and Pitt as surnames. 
ETA: I would be lying if I said I'm not excited to see their first pics.

You're making an awful lot of assumptions about Brad , Angelina and People Magazine. That 16 million dollar fee is completely ridiculous and used by gossip blogs like TMZ and others to create drama. These people know what they're doing. It's actually their lives and they more then you , me or anyone else understands all repercussions from the media and public when it comes to the "get" for their kids. There's no drama here except for the people outside of their own family and extended family to see these twins

The amount they're talking about is kind of baffling me too. $16 million is ridic! Unless they wanna file for bankruptcy soon after publishing the pics,
then yeah... sure.

Well People paid $6 mil for JLo's twins, and I thought that was completely crazy. But People places a lot of importance on its reputation, and its
reputation includes them ALWAYS getting baby pics from the really big names. Matt M, Jessica Alba, Jamie-Lynn Spears - not big names. But Jennifer Lopez (I
honestly think it was the twin factor that drove that so high), Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, and of course the Jolie-Pitts - those are the big names. Those
are the ones People has its eye on.
So I really think it depends on 1) how desperate the other tabloids are to get their hands on those pics (and I hear OK! is very desperate) and 2) how far People is willing to go to maintain the reputation of being the legit magazine that the stars go to when they do their "introducing" shoots. I guess the bottom line for me is this: I'm not sure People is willing to let go of the JP pics, no matter how high the price goes. Can someone explain something to me, though - this "bidding" thing. How does that work? Who are they "bidding" with? I know it's tabs fighting to top each other and get the pics, but is there someone sitting somewhere taking bids like an auction?

First off People Magazine never confirmed that amount. Again, it was gossip.Secondly, People Magazine is a tabloid. Yes, People is a weekly tabloid but
it's the lesser of many evils for these A-listers.
