i wanted to get into it, but the books are
monstrous and the thought of starting them now feels
exhausting lol i go to review websites and catch up on
the series there, like cliffs notes

I kept hearing how great it was, so I tried to read
it. I just could not get into it.

I skipped like the first 1/5 of the book. Then I
was fairly hooked. I still skimmed some parts though. I'm
really bad about doing that if I'm not totally immersed
in a book OR if I'm too worried about what might
happen.

Yes, that's a great series.
Just to warn you I thought Dragonfly in Amber (2nd book) was very slow. But it sets everything up for Voyager which is GREAT. I need to read the last two...Firy Cross and Breath of Snow and Ashes... |

I don't know if I want to read Dragonfly in Amber
because I don't want to think of them 20 years
later...
I'm to lazy to reply correcly and italicize. |

I just finished Dragonfly in Amber this morning and am planning on starting Voyager in a few minutes. I really like them so far, even though the first several
chapters of Outlander bored me to tears...after I got through them I was hooked.

I really enjoyed the series...some parts REALLY drag though, and I did find myself skimming a lot of the description sections...but I love Jamie, so he's
totally worth it!

My mom read that series and she LOVES it. I read the first book, but I didn't really like it. It's too long, IMO

I've read DiA and Voyager. I kinda hate Jamie though so they weren't fully enjoyable for me. I liked the historical aspect.

My co-workers talked this series up so much that I felt like I had to read it. I'm on page 350 and I'm bored. This is my favorite genre of book but I
just can't get into it. I went to the library today to get other books.

I've read the first book only and I thought it was pretty good! Will read the other ones eventually, as my friend loves the whole series!
I liked Jamie as well! |
