how old were you? Just curious. That other post people were saying they couldn't imagine dating someone for 6 years without getting married. I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years and I don't see us getting married for another 3-4 years. I'm 23 right now so I'd be about 26/27 at the time. I think then I will feel completely stable in my career and stuff.

Got engaged after 5 1/2 years of dating.
Got married one year later, 6 1/2 years of dating. When we married, I was 26 and he was 27. |

We were together for over 4 and a half years (lived together for 3 and a half) when we got married, and we're both 23.
I think younger people (early 20s) date much longer before getting married just because of college, settling down, etc. But when people are older there's really not much reason to date for that long, in my opinion. |

Wow, I must say I'm very impressed at all of you still married after having gotten married after a short period of time and at a young age!
I'm surrounded by people that can't even date people for more than 5 months. I guess that always kind of made me skeptical of people that rushed
into marriage. Oh, that and I had a friend that did it telling me I didn't understand love and relationships and she got divorced before the ink was even
dry.
