I just bought a brown summer dress (sorry don't have a picture),it's a very
simple dress. My question is, what kind of shoes does it go with it and what color? |

Please don't wear brown shoes with a brown dress, as the previous poster suggested. Matching your shoes to a plain summer dress isn't summery at all,
nor is it unique or current.
If the dress is above your knees, do a flat. If it's below, do a heel or a wedge. Heels + short dress = hooker. Long dress + flats = matronly/hippie. Contrast the shoes to the dress, with something like a bright orange, turquoise or royal blue. If you've got nice legs and the dress is short, try gladiators in a warm metallic - not everyone can pull them off though, so don't wear them if you're not confident in them. Avoid pastels (ie. baby pink) and shoes that are dark hues, such as navy or black (if you want the dress to look summery). Also avoid chunky heels - they're outdated and make you look like you have hooves. Above knee options:

I love those blue shoes... where are they from?? And I agree a bright contrasting color would help make the outfit pop!

I would wear a color like pink, blue or green with it. Like a cute sandle or a wedge show

I would a bright green or orange. The color orange usually goes with brown, depending on what shade.
