Why would anyone feel bad for Jessica Alba?

I remember when I saw Honey in the theater and everyone laughed during the whole movie.

Yeah, this was one big fat fail. Especially with the amount of promo that went into it.

Look at all the promo Guru had: plugs on the MTV Movie Awards which Mike hosted, Access Hollywood, ET, ESPN, trailers on TV constantly, etc. This definitely had more promo than Get Smart. There was a big to-do during the American Idol finale for it as well, which a lot of people were watching. |

The movie looked like shit to begin with anyway.

I would have been disappointed if it didn't flop

There is such a thing as over-promoting a movie. Start it too full on too sooon and people get bored of it before it even comes out

I am suprised Kung Fu Panda beat it. I saw it and I thought it was funny but not super funny. Not Mike's best work but it was okay.

Maybe, but I certainly think the over-dosing didn't help

What made me laugh is that on another board I go on, some people were making excuses for the flop. The film got LOADS of promotion so it's not like no one
knew it was coming out.

Wow, a Justin Timberlake movie bombs, nobody saw that coming.

Not too shocking considering the buzz. I loved all of the Austin Powers movies, even the sequels, so I was really looking forward to it when I first heard
about it. Then they aired that long tv spot during the super bowl and I was like, uh-oh. It just didn't look funny. Oh, well, hopefully he comes back with
something better than this.

I'm guessing it flopped because everyone was aware that the joke would wear thin after about 3 minutes. The character was annoying and had none of the
charm of Austin Powers. It's hardly worth calling it a Justin Timberlake movie since he was basically just doing an extended cameo. He'll have a hit
movie sometime. Jessica Alba, however, should just accept her calling and stick to Maxim covers and leave movies for people who can at least fake their way
through dialogue. Paris Hilton is more convincing on camera.

Why do people say this? Considering EVERY movie (except Shrek) that Justin has been in was an independent and/or limited release movie. Y'all are stupid. Get Smart also opened in like 900 more theatres. The movie was obviously dumb as hell, but still.
