I know, weird question. But I went to the dermatologist a couple weeks ago and he had me get these exfoliating pad things w/ salicylic acid in them. They were
fine for the first week, but the past few days my forehead is kinda freaking out, just a bunch of little white bumps on my forehead and along my hairline. And
they're not all exactly pimples either. I was just wondering if this kinda thing is normal when doing a new skin regimen, that your skin kinda gets worse
as it gets used to the new products, then gets better?! I know I should ask my derm. about this, but I don't really feel like paying my $35 co-pay just to
go have him tell me that it's normal.
So I was just curious!
Does skin have to get worse before it gets better?

I think it's normal, esp. if it's for acne. Every acne medication I have been on, the instructions state that your skin will get worse & then get
better. You can always call your derm as well.

Yes its totally normal... a lot of my clients will call me up and ask the same question.... it's just the salicylic acid bringing everything out… your skin
should eventually clear up soon!

Okay thanks!
It does seem to be getting a bit better already (well, at least the white bumps at least). No new ones have started so I'm gonna stick with
it!
