First of all, no one burned down mosques here, rofl. The KKK rally was put together by people from another state. Hardly anyone turned out to it, and hundreds turned out to a peace rally. Yes, there have been rare isolated incidents such as an unknown person who posted signs with a picture of an attack pittbull outside a Somali store. There is an incident such as that every 1-2 years, tops. There are incidents both ways. Right now there have been problems with Somali teenagers on the busses acting out. Some of the white kids who are the minority on that bus are feeling uncomfortable. It happens both ways. Growing pains, with a sudden HUGE influx of new people, new culture.

Anyhow, this thread is beyond ridiculous. I'd like to know where exactly this store is. I havent heard anything about this. You'd think the Sun Journal would be all over this. Give me the street address, I will go there tomorrow afternoon or Monday and I'll try to go into this store. Hell, I'll take pictures of the damn sign. So what street is it on, and who owns this mercedes, I'll take a pic of that too because I am curious.

I have Somali friends, my children have grown up with Somalis. My daughter is active in the civil rights team. People here are overall trying to get along.

No, I am pointing out that I am white person who doesn't hate Somalis. Apparently that's way over your head since you have determined that there is abundant racism here and we are all like that. I am pointing out that little white Franco kids and little Somali kids are friends, side by side in school.

There have been 2 white men in our city who have commited crimes. One threw a frozen pigs head into the mosque. One posted signs of a pitt bull saying the dog would bite Somalis.

That doesn't make 60,000 of us racist.

maybe overreacting was the wrong word. you just implied she couldn't be friends with Somalians because she's white and lives in that town therefore she must be racist.

No, hun, that is not what I am implying. When people don't want to be called racist, the most common "proof" is that their bff/classmate/next door neighbor/the lady at the supermarket" is black.

so in other words she's just trying to cover up for the fact that she is racist?
