In the state of California a lot of couples break up before 9 years because if you are married for 10+ years and then divorce, the husband has to pay alimony
for life. If less than 10, they only have to pay half of the duration of the marriage.
So that's why in Cali, lots of marriages end before 10 years AND why some divorcees do not get remarried after long marriages. Yeah. Sucks. |
