Let's look carefully at how this is presented shall we?
But nothing compares to Sarah Silverman and her unapologetic audacity. The comedienne took to the stage following Britney Spears' universally reviled performance and blasted the troubled pop star, which was perfectly fine with J.C. because
...was all editorial by the interviewer. There's no qutoes around this portion, which is definitely about Britney in the interviewer's words. And then she juxtaposes that with:
"she said what everybody was thinking at the time."Which is a direct quote from him. But we have no idea what exactly that was in response to. He didn't say, "Sarah blasting Britney was okay with me because..." etc. etc. Gotta watch how they phrase these things. And as for the last paragraph, we also have no idea what exactly he was responding to with that quote. She could have posed her questions any kind of way with regard to any aspect of Sarah's performance. It's not like he said he thought the jab at her kids specifically was funny. And for all we know, he could have criticized it and she left it out. Point is, we don't know. And thus that celeb's favorite, and often true accusation, of taking things out of context.
