I really wouldn't' do a lot of color. Like someone said, maybe changing the black sash to a colorful one and then I'd keep everything simple in black - shoes, earrings and clutch. I don't know if I'd put a necklace because the neckline is small and nice, putting a big piece of jewelry would make it look like too much.

Make the sash your bright color and leave the rest alone. You wouldn't look like you were going to a funeral.

Or leave everything alone, sash, neckline, black shoes, black earrings and get a bright colored clutch and a wrap to match the purse.
