I don't really understand how 1 person gets to pick who is on the team.. seems like it should be the top 5 from trials like every other sport?

I've read the book she was always my favorite since the 1996 olympics. Bela always seemed like a really nice guy and it's a shame that was all an act. I agree how the system of picking the national team is really unfair. One person has too much power...it really should be the top 5 that make the team.
