Stealing this from another post, but:
Minnie: Someone who has been a good friend for over ten years.
Mickey: The boy in this whole situation.
I recently moved back to my hometown. Even though my friend Minnie got into a school program about 5 hours away, we hung out as much as we could before she left. She had her "going-away" party at a bar, where I met one of her friends from school, Mickey. Mickey and I hit it off right away, and even though he was going out of the country the next day he and I made plans to hang out when he got back. He asked for my number, and I gave it to him. I got a friend vibe, but was not sure.
He returns from his trip and we go out to dinner/drinks, and ended up hanging out the entire weekend. Lots of flirting, but he never made a move. We hung out with his friends, went out to dinner again, etc. He paid for everything. The next weekend Minnie came back into town, we all hung out together. I expressed to Minnie how I was confused about him, and she said not to think anything of it. Right after, he and I got together where he told me he was going to visit Minnie for the day, just to "get out of the city". I saw this as odd, but didn't say anything.
He went on a trip the first week of June. The following weekend, we had been planning to visit Minnie together. I hadn't him at all, so sent him a text asking if things were still on. He said he didn't think he could go, so I asked to keep me updated and if he wanted to do something that week. I never got a text back.
Two weeks later he texts me apologizing for being MIA and asking to hang out. He comes to my new apartment today, in which he lets slip that he went to visit Minnie the day before WE had originally planned to visit her together. When I called him out on it, he kind of played around the question and didn't really answer. That weekend, I had called Minnie more than once since I originally was supposed to be visiting, but didn't hear back until the following week, in which she didn't bring it up.
While we were hanging out he suggested doing different activities together/basically making all these new plans with me.
I am pretty confused. I have no idea if Minnie and Mickey have something going on, and while I have mentioned things to Minnie she just says she has no idea what I am talking about.
Any insight?
