Posts: 12063 06/12/2012 9:34 AM	Shut the hell up? I'm pretty close to saying that to my mom and I've never spoken to her like that. She just keeps trying me over and over again and I'm so close to snapping on her.

My brother and I would get the 'look' if we were caught saying it to each other. When I was 19 my mom made me mad and I told her to shut up. She calmly told her friend on the phone that she would call her back, but the look she gave me scared the crap out of me. I ran to my room, shut the door and locked it as she was running after me. I climbed out the window while I could hear her yelling at me through my door. I have never been so scared, lol. I never said it to my dad.

My mom was always pretty mild tempered, but once you pushed her over the edge she could be scary, lol. I had to call my brother to find out if it was ok to come home. I am still scared of the 'look' and I am almost 33. (I would like to clarify that she was NOT abusive physically, emotionally or verbally, she just could put you in your place with looks and punishments, lol).
