Posts: 20849 06/02/2012 2:46 AM	If you were out, spent about an hour talking to a guy and there was obviously mutual interest. You have great conversation, and he asks for your name/number about midway. Then as you are leaving and you are saying goodbye he seems to have already forgotten your name. What do you think?

Posts: 5812 06/02/2012 3:18 AM	How many times did you tell him...once, twice, or more? Offended? No. Annoyed? Probably not with a few exceptions. I have a great memory compared to most people and even I don't remember people's names until the 2nd time and at that point, I remember it for life lol (for some reason, I don't even pay attention when they say it the first time). A few weeks ago I was out and the girl I was with was approached by this guy. Over the course of the night, they talked for like 30 minutes maybe. He could NOT remember her name at all, even after being told like 5 times (he remembered mine after the 2nd time lol). In that case I would be very annoyed. It even got to the point where we would quiz him and he still didn't get it (I gave him hints like "it rhymes with Merry" ). At that point it's like, you obviously don't give a shit about this girl and don't want anything besides something phsyical so you're not worth her time.

Then I get worried I might offend them if I ask them to repeat their name when they just told me 2 minutes ago, SMH.

When we left I was telling my friend that I liked him and she was like "screw him he's an asshole he can't even remember your name!!" I honestly didn't even think anything of it.. Especially since I also did not remember his name!

Specifically, I have an unusual name and some people find it hard to pronounce, so I am VERY used to people having trouble with my name.
