Oh God, Dear John. That girl was just... no. I respect my Marine way too much to pull something like that, even if I didn't like him anymore. Definitely gonna go for it

lid0linda, He thinks he'll be spending most of his time at established bases where there's internet and all that. But, because he'll be traveling through various countries and staying at some FOB's I know there will be times where we'll have no communication. I'm just hoping those are few and far between. I plan to send a lot of care packages, letters, pictures, etc. I already ordered my supply of flat rates boxes and all that.

I think I'm more so scared because that amount of time is super intimidating, and it's something I've never experienced before. He's been deployed, but I've never sated anyone in the military and have no idea what to expect. I know he'll help me as much as he can, but I can't/don't want to rely on him when he'll have PLENTY on his plate already.

Shoebaby, basically a soldier on R&R meets a girl, they fall in love, blah blah blah. He goes back to wherever he was deployed to and they start writing letters. At some point the letters from her stop, so he goes back to the town and finds out she married someone else.
