javajoint wrote: Finally saw it! I was going to wait till summer to watch it in the theater to avoid coughing people, . I'm not a hypochondriac. I had to skip work for 2 weeks last month because I contracted both the flu and strep throat. I was not gonna trap myself in a theater and get sick again just as I'm getting better. Anyway, I always say this: I worship Josh Whedon, Steven Moffatt and Peter Jackson. Man, as usual, Josh wrote a terrific screenplay and all that witty dialogue and one-liners, they were just classic Whedon. I was a bit hesitant about watching it when I first saw the Avengers EW cover. It just looked cheesy but wow, this was well-done. It was a smart, roller-coaster action-packed movie!Whenever I see RDJ as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Chris Evans as Captain America---I just cannot see any other actor playing their roles. They just inhabit them. I cannot imagine even any of my favorite actors replacing them. I was worried about Mark Ruffalo playing Bruce Banner and The Hulk. Before the film, I thought he was too emo() for the role. I grew up watching the tv series with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno and they were iconic. Edward Norton and Eric Bana, as wonderful as they are as actors, they did not do the roles justice. I was really pleased to be proven wrong. I'm also glad Whedon gave The Hulk another dimension. He really stole the show, . I'm not a ScarJo fan. I think her face is always without emotion BUT she was kick-ass in her scenes. Jeremy kinda disappointed me. I hope they give him more dialogue next time and maybe next time, too, when he does his archery scenes, it will have more choreography. I find Cobie pretty but man, she's even prettier here. The way she delivered her lines were very Robin from HIMYM but then again, she really didn't have much to do. I did enjoy her car scene in the beginning and the shot of her walking away from Sam Jackson towards the end of the film---that ass swaying was really sexy, . Hiddleston? He's just a sexy son of a gun. God, he was so awesome! He's not a famous actor but I've always enjoyed watching Clark Gregg in his tv and film roles so Spoiler [+] when he got stabbed, I practically yelled, "NOOOOOOO!!!" and was sad when he died. I kept on wishing he'd show up one way or another. I do like the idea of him being The Vision, maybe it means he'll come back! PLEASSSSE!!!!. As a whole, I loved it, REALLY, REALLY LOVED it!! I'll be honest with you, I don't know my DC comics from my Marvel ones so excuse me when I tell you that when Spoiler [+] Iron Man was in space falling, my brain was screaming, "SUPERMANNN!!! SAVE HIM!!!!"My fave moments: Spoiler [+] Hulk flinging Loki like a rag doll and then Loki emitting that funny sound while lying on the floor, Hulk punching Thorany closeups of Thor and Capt America's body and faces---I am a girl after all, "Point Break", the Shakespeare and drapes line"better clench up, Legolas"Hulk saving Iron Man and then throwing him off his arms, there's a bunch more but these are the ones that I remember. Are there any Doctor Who fans here? Did any of you have a Dalek flashbackwhen Spoiler [+] The Hulk looked up and all these aliens in their flying machines were all facing him before they attack him? Reminded me when the Daleks invaded! Btw, did any of you catch Stan Lee and the grownup Growing Pains cast member? I'm glad that person is still getting jobs,. I saw Ralph Macchio on the credits and had to remind myself it's not the same guy, .
