Momobobo wrote:Dude what? If you are struggling because you don't have enough money to pay your bills, etc. you wouldn't get a job because you couldn't handle it? Handle what? Flipping burgers and standing on your feet for an 8-hour shift? So you think it's better to sit at home for 6 months with no source of income? Fuck it's attitudes like this that piss me off about paying 30k+ a year in taxes to support a bunch of lazy fucks. Not that everyone who doesn't have a job is lazy, but "I can't handle it" is the biggest load of shit as an excuse for not working.

Momobobo wrote:NO I don't know what you go through but you also don't know what I go through and what it takes for me or others to get up every morning and go to work at jobs that are really hard on your body and mind, but you know what? We do it! And yes, everyone CAN make themselves do something - people without limbs, with terminal illnesses are doing amazing things every day. There is nothing stopping anyone, but themselves...if you guys want to keep making excuses for your life then go ahead, but get used to the fact that you'll have to watch everyone else actually living theirs.

Which is why I try not to do it to anyone else. I can't live anyone else's life but my own.

You said it you couldn't handle a job at Dairy Queen...if you have a disability that would easily answer the question as to why not. If you don't have a disability then you certainly COULD handle it and are just making an excuse.I'm sorry but if you don't have a job and given you don't have a disability, you can't be picky! Take a job at DQ for a few months, be productive, no one will look down on somone that is TRYING to better themselves in any way they can. When I was laid off I got a job at the firs tplace I could find, which happened to be as a hostess at a restaurant. Did I like it? Hell no! But I went into to work every day and earned what little money I did (along side 16 year olds!) and kept looking for something that could actually pay the bills.

And that's great for you, it really is! But why would I tell you about my disability if someone is just going to say "Oh, that's just another excuse!" when that is set in their mind? I've been dealing with that type of crap for years. It still hurts because people don't think it's real, when it very much is. I would give anything to be on your side of the fence. And the photo does not apply to me.

If you have a disability then I completely understand not being able to do certain things, given that the disability is physical. The people ragging on HPgal know that she is in no way, shape, or form disabled. Her and MANY other people like her are perfectly capable of working menial jobs and not sitting on their asses no matter what their circumstances are.

And fine. It's called Social Anxiety. It truly sucks. It's not fun, I'm not lazy and I don't enjoy sitting at home on my ass all day. I would actually love to be able to get up every morning and go to work to make money and, yes, even pay taxes everyone hates. I sold AVON for a year because it was something I could do from home. (And I've been searching for a long time for something like that, but they're damn near all scams) But, being that I am not an outgoing person (and you need to be if you're going to make money), I really only had customers that were family and friends or co-workers of family. Needless to say, I didn't make much doing that and stopped doing it because it cost me more than I was making.

I can only comment on what she posted.

Why can't you try to get a bookkeeping job or something else that doesn't require much face to face interaction?
