And I could understand using birth control because the hormones help with the crippling cramps you have every month or an actual health reason. But preventing pregnancy? Condoms are pretty cheap and sold many places. And if you can't use them right, they sell the morning after pill over the counter. Or if you really can't afford to get pregnant, just don't have sex?

Yes, sweetie, really. I read that she got fired from a Catholic school. I can read. It doesn't make it any less wrong.Using birth control worked for me for a good 14 years, thank you very much. Just because you have issues with it, doesn't mean it doesn't work. Sure, it would be the "smart" thing to do to abstain from sex if you can't afford to get pregnant, but that's not how the world works.

I've never said they should ban abortion. I don't like it, but I don't think many people do. And I've never said I dislike birth control. I take it. I'm not demanding it for free though, and if I couldn't take it, family planning issues would be the very least of my worries because there are so many easier ways to prevent pregnancy then by taking a tiny pill every night, or putting a Nuvaring in, or getting the shot, etc.

No. Her getting fired from a public school for using fertility treatments is wrong. Her getting fired from a Catholic school because she does something that goes against Catholic teachings is a no-brainer. And people's lack of self-control is their own problem.

It is not acceptable for an employer to provide health insurance that doesn't cover liver disease if they are against drinking, so why should their morality come into play when designing a plan for ALL employees. It is none of their business what type of routine medical treatment I need just because my employer may sponsor a health insurance plan. And given that almost everyone in this country PAYS for part of that health insurance plan, it is a complete misrepresentation of facts for people to continue to act like women are demanding something for nothing., All women want is for their basic medical needs to be covered just like anyone elses are, without the employer nitpicking over what he or she agrees with and not be judged as sluts.I'll also add that insurance companies WANT to pay for BC because it is cheaper for them. They are stopped from offering by employers who specifically design plans that exclude it. The insurance companies are willing to pick up the cost so that the employers do not even have to pay for it -- yet the morality of a CORPORATION is STILL more important than my rights? I guess corporations as people have even more rights than regular people. I highly doubt even you Roks, could argue our founding fathers intended that.

Condoms are only 98 percent effective against pregnancy. When taking correctly, the pill can be 99.9 effective against pregnancy.
