i've always had a soft spot for mandy, even though i don't really like her music! though her cover of XTC's "senses working overtime" is pretty cute.

sometimes i forget she's married, even though my roommate is a huge fan of ryan adams and listens to his music all the time. from the outside, it makes no sense to me that they ended up together and i certainly didn't expect their marriage to last this long. ryan is fairly well respected as a musican, but had a notorious drug habit and just comes off as very serious, troubled and like he's got tons of baggage. kind of the exact opposite of how i perceive mandy!

his music can be a bit over the place, although he has some indie rock stuff i liked, he tends to stick more with alt country style music now. he also used to date parker posey.
