If you use that argument, you're also saying that BC should only be for a medical reason, not a preventive reason.if viagra is free b/c it treats a medical issue, then why not birth control, too? like i said, i think the medical reasons for birth control are a wee bit more serious than some man's inability to get hard. i don't think that argument means that birth control should only be for a medical reason, though. it's just addressing one of the many reasons for birth control. ultimately, i just find it ridiculous that something that treats a less serious condition is free b/c it's for men. as other people have said, if men could get pregnant or had the responsibility of parenthood forced upon them, birth control would become free and easily accessible so fast it's not even funny. And I'm saying if you use the "for medical reasons" argument, it could be used to limit BC to those who need it only for medical reasons, which is a very small percentage of women who use it. And regardless of what you think of Viagra, ED is an actual medical condition. Wanting to get not pregnant isn't. Don't use the Viagra argument because it's apples and oranges, two different things.
