You can not in any way compare car insurance to health insurance. Health insurance is NOT in ANY WAY just for emergencies. That's why there are separate "emergency only" plans. Your ignorance and arrogance continues to show.

Just like I said, you don't have car insurance for getting an oil change. You have car insurance for if you get into an accident, and your rates also go up depending on fault of accident and all of that. I guess catastrophic was a bad word to use this time, even though I've used it previously and there was no misunderstanding. Insurance is for EMERGENCIES.Are you really this stupid or are you just trolling here?

Now currently, health insurance will pay for most any and everything.

I don't care how it was in the past, we don't live in the past, so what it was then, isn't how it is now. It changed for a reason. Plain and simple, just like in the future it'll change again, it happens. No matter what it is, you can't expect stuff to stay the same. If you're annoyed with insurances paying for stuff, then I hope you don't let them pay for you.

It just sucks when my premiums are so high because insurance pays for too much, people who are unhealthy have health insurance thus driving everyone's premiums up with their health issues, etc. It just keeps going up and up and up in cost and the service doesn't improve. I would just rather things get cheaper, not more expensive.

It has to be covered by insurance. And if you have insurance, you will probably get more expensive tests done then if you had been going out of pocket. So these days are much different from the olden days before health insurance paid for everything.

And regardless of what you think of Viagra, ED is an actual medical condition. Wanting to get not pregnant isn't. Don't use the Viagra argument because it's apples and oranges, two different things.

Professional medical associations have stated that pregnancy is a medical condition and that contraception is medically necessary. The ACOG has stated "contraception is basic, preventive health care and should be readily available and treated the same as prophylactic therapies for other medical conditions" and that "Pregnancy is a medical condition, just like impotence. And the cost benefit of preventing pregnancy is much greater than treating impotence." The American Medical Association supports policies that provide employees with reasonable periods of paid or unpaid leave due to documented medial conditions including pregnancy. The fact is birth control is used to help prevent a medical condition.
