I've actually written some EXCELLENT writing in former fan fics back in the 90s that just happened to be written about celebrities or something. Just because you use someone else's lives (or made up stories) as inspiration doesn't make it less of a story.

I'm not entirely sure what it is but I know many fans are pissed about it. Also too they think everyone will think the fandom is a bunch of horny chicks reading twilight fan fiction for sex stuff.
